Have you been trying to eat healthier, exercise more, lose weight, or change some not so ideal habits? Have you found this a bit more challenging than you would like it to be? Well, here's an idea for you. Try not to think about every single thing you need to do to achieve your goal. Instead, focus on one thing at a time.
Making simple changes like eating five servings of fruits and vegetables every day seems very doable. And, this is a lot less overwhelming than eliminating all your favorite foods at once, eating only rabbit food while training for a marathon.
Try incorporating one new change every week or even every month. Or, you may want to master each change before you begin a new one. It's entirely up to you. But, remember to celebrate each successful new habit. For instance, suppose your first change is to walk 30 minutes, three times per week. That's it. One thing. After four weeks of mastering this new habit, you pat yourself on the back for a job well done, share your success with others, and then move on to change number two.
Over time these simple changes will add up to big success. And, chances are your new healthier habits will become life-long. Now that's something to celebrate!
